The second annual Girls Skate Day in Tofino went off in the sunshine on Sunday (Saturday was rained out), and it was a huge success! Over 25 young girls came to skateboard, many for the first time ever, and tons of parents helped their kids out in the park. All of our sponsors were very generous with their prize donations, and we had enough borrowed equipment for everyone thanks to helpful friends in the community.

It was amazing to see how much confidence these girls had, and I could tell they got a positive boost from this event. I hope all of those girls continue to skate, and I am already looking forward to next year!
